Orlando to be Host for NBA All-Star 2012

Orlando got second time lucky when NBA Commissioner David Stern announced that the city has been chosen to host NBA All-Star 2012.

Orlando hosted the 1992 All-Star Game. The news of the event happening once again in the city has created a wave of enthusiasm in the people.

The 61st NBA All-Star Game will be played on Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Amway Center. The city’s state of the art stadiums, hospitality and quality entertainment facilities made its selection obvious.

Orlando Magic President Bob Vander Weide thinks the game is a rare opportunity which not every city can get and they are happy the game committee has chosen Orlando. Every moment of the game is legendary and they are proud these will happen in the city’s unmatched facilities. The Amway centre will be witness to the eagerly awaited NBA All-Star 2012.

The game will be seen worldwide by television audience in more than 200 countries and territories and in more than 40 languages.

The events highlight will be NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas which will be held at the Orange County Convention Center. During the jam session fans will get the opportunity to take autography of their favorite basketball players. It will consist of basketball competitions including the NBA All-Star Practice and the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. There will be something for everyone.
